People First

As an organisation, we believe that individuals are the experts of their own lives and that real people's experiences should shape local services.

With this belief in mind, we are proud to host four local Healthwatch who ensure NHS and social care decision-makers hear your voice and use your feedback to improve care.

The Healthwatch we host are:

  • Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees
  • Healthwatch Cumberland
  • Healthwatch Westmorland and Furness
  • Healthwatch Lancashire

Each service has its own work plan, aims and priorities that reflect the needs of the communities they represent. They are also governed by an independent Board that ensures that their independence is prioritised.

Healthwatch delivers powerful work that places people at the heart of the health and care services they access.
